SFWMD seeks apps for water savings incentive program

The South Florida Water Management District will begin accepting applications on Monday, Aug. 8, to fund water conservation projects through their Water Savings Incentive Program, WaterSIP, for Fiscal Year 2012.



Applications are due to the district by 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011.



WaterSIP provides matching funds up to $50,000 to public or private water providers, large users or homeowners/condominium associations for installing water-saving technology.



Created in 2002, WaterSIP has provided a total of $4.1 million to help fund 142 projects with an estimated water savings of 7 million gallons a day.
