NWFWMD hosts public workshop on Williford Spring restoration

The Northwest Florida Water Management District and Genesis Group LLC will host a public workshop on Aug. 4 to discuss design plans for proposed spring restoration and protection measures at Williford Spring on the Econfina Creek Water Management Area.
The proposed restoration and protection measures are designed to enhance public access and recreation while protecting the water resources of Econfina Creek and its springs. This is the second in a series of public workshops to discuss plans at Williford Spring.
The district will consider any design revisions resulting from this workshop and proceed with permitting.
The workshop will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, August 4 at Williford Spring on Strickland Road. The spring is located about a half mile north of Highway 20, and eight miles west of State Road 231
